PH Consul General Receives Federation of PH American Chambers of Commerce Chicago

CHICAGO 04 March 2019 – Officers of the Federation of Philippine American Chambers of Commerce, Inc. (FPACC) called on Consul General to Chicago Gina A. Jamoralin at the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago’s Kalayaan Hall. The call was made on the occasion of FPACC’s Leadership Summit at the Hyatt Regence O’Hare in Chicago on 22-25 February 2019.

President Marie Cunning, National Executive Director Ryyn Chua Schumacher, Treasurer Cynthia Flores, Vice President for Tourism Ting Bouffard, and FPACC in Greater Houston President Leonidas Reyes represented the organization during the call.

Consul General Jamoralin welcomed the FPACC leaders to Chicago and wished them the best as they prepared for their general membership meeting. She also shared the good news about the Philippine economy, which has been growing at more than six percent for 14 consecutive quarters, and the opportunities presented by the Duterte Administration’s US$170-billion “Build, Build, Build” infrastructure program. She welcomed further collaboration with FPACC, noting that the Consulate General was ready to assist in economic diplomacy initiatives, big or small.

Consul General Jamoralin also encouraged FPACC officers and members to come to the Philippines to see the investment, tourism and retirement opportunities for themselves, including through the upcoming VIP Tour and Filgrimage on 14-21 July 2019.

FPACC invited Consul General Jamoralin to its general membership meeting in Chicago and Guadalajara on 15-17 November 2019.

Through Consul Ryan Gener, the Consulate General also participated in the opening working session of the Leadership Summit meeting on 23 February 2019, where he delivered the Consul General’s remarks. END
