LOS ANGELES 04 March 2019 — Deputy Sheriff James T. Nagao of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) paid a courtesy call on Consul General to Los Angeles Adelio Angelito Cruz on 07 February 2019.
Deputy Sheriff Nagao expressed his commitment to support the Consulate General in promoting the security and safety of overseas Filipinos under the LASD’s and the Consulate General’s jurisdictions. In response, Consul General Cruz conveyed his appreciation and assured the Deputy Sheriff of the Consulate General’s cooperation in fostering peace and order.
LASD is considered as the largest sheriff's department in the world, providing general law enforcement services to 42 contract cities, 141 unincorporated communities, 216 facilities, hospitals, and clinics located throughout the county, nine community colleges, the Metropolitan Transit Authority, and 37 Superior Courts.
