28 January 2014 – Philippine Ambassador to Turkey Maria Rowena M. Sanchez met with officers of the Association of Social and Economic Solidarity with Pacific Countries (PASIAD)  during a breakfast meeting at PASIAD headquarters on January 20.  She was accompanied by Philippine Honorary Consul General in Istanbul Ersin Karaoglan and Consul Leilani S. Feliciano.

PASIAD officials briefed Ambassador Sanchez on the presence of their members already doing business in various sectors in the Philippines and their interest in business expansion. The Ambassador informed them of other opportunities arising from developments in the country after Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).  

 “We realize that there are many ways we can do more business in the Philippines whose growth rate in the past year is very encouraging,” said Consul General Karaoglan.
