28 January 2014 – Philippine Ambassador to Turkey Maria Rowena Mendoza Sanchez  met with the members and Chairman of the Turkish-Philippines Business Council, Mr. Hakan Esen, on January 20 at the Council’s head office in Istanbul to discuss business opportunities in the Philippines.

Among the topics discussed were  tourism projects, agriculture and tropical food products, manufacturing, automotive parts, defense industries, construction, energy and power projects. Those present expressed deep interest  in these areas and Mr. Esen committed to bringing an investment mission to Manila in  2014, in coordination with his counterpart, Mr. Ernesto Chua, Chairman of the Philippines-Turkey Business Council.
