28 January 2014 – Philippine Ambassador to Greece Meynard LB. Montelegre chairs the 5th ASEAN Ambassadors Meeting on January 23 at the Ambassador’s official residence in Athens.  During the meeting, the Ambassadors discussed the status of the proposed ASEAN Committee in Athens (ACAT) and the joint activities of the four ASEAN embassies in Athens for the year.

The ASEAN Ambassadors in Athens, heads of the Philippine, Indonesian, Thai and Vietnamese Embassies in Athens, have been meeting regularly since February 2013 to share information on each embassy’s activities in Greece, especially those aimed at strengthening relations with the host country, and to organize joint activities to promote ASEAN culture and identity.
