PH Consulate General in Dubai Launches “Pahid Arkitekto” Art Exhibit

DUBAI 06 March 2019 — The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai held the opening of the art exhibit “Pahid Arkitekto” at the Consulate General’s Rizal Hall on 01 February 2019.

The three-themed exhibit “Mukha ng Kultura,” “Noong Kami ay Bata Pa” and “Arkitektura at Kultura” features the works of seven Dubai-based Filipino architects Larry Merciales, Arman Lawrence Cases, Dennis Lim, Lito Carisma, Gerald Mauricio, Alvin Bueno Jr., and Jino John Bobias.

Some 150 art enthusiasts, family relatives, friends, and members of media attended the event, and were serenaded with classic Original Pinoy Music songs performed by Cheryll Garcia and local band Audiojunkies.

Consul General to Dubai Paul Raymund P. Cortes commended the architects for continuing to work on their artistic passions and their paths to self-expression. He added that the Consulate General always welcomes the overseas Filipino art community, with the view of making it a repository of the collective expression of the Filipino soul, culture and heritage.

Pahid Arkiteto will run from February to April 2019. END
