MADRID 07 March 2019 — The Philippine Embassy in Madrid’s “Hatid Kaalaman Para sa mga Pilipino” (Bringing Knowledge for Filipinos) was successfully launched in Palma de Mallorca, Spain on 22 February 2019.
The program is aimed at reaching out to and engaging Filipinos all over Spain and Andorra through knowledge development, information dissemination, skills training and consultations.
A brainchild project of Ambassador to Spain Philippe J. Lhuillier, “Hatid Kaalaman” combines the Embassy´s consular information awareness, Gender and Development (GAD) programs, labor services, skills training and development, and security awareness in one program for the Filipino Community.
The first series of the Embassy´s “information handbook”, containing consular information, Philippine regulations, labor services, and other important advisories, were distributed to the participants. The second series, which will be distributed soon, will contain important information on Spanish regulations, which may be useful to Filipinos.
The team, headed by Third Secretary and Vice Consul Raisa A. Mabayo, was joined by Labor Attaché Joan Lourdes D. Lavilla, Defense and Armed Forces Attaché Colonel Harold Anthony F. Pascua, Welfare Officer Nesa S. Nolido, and GAD Focal Person and Administrative Officer Chester A. Diaz during the well-attended, four-hour forum, which garnered positive feedback from the participants.
The “Hatid Kaalaman” program will be held in Madrid and in various parts of Spain and Andorra. END
