PH Embassy in Yangon, Filipino Community Celebrate Pinoy Fiesta in Myanmar

PHOTO: More than 150 members of the Filipino Community in Myanmar gathered at the Philippine Embassy in Yangon grounds to support “Pinoy Fiesta Bazaar” on 03 March 2019.

Ambassador to Myanmar Eduardo E. Kapunan Jr. expressed his appreciation that the Filipino Community in Myanmar is supportive of Embassy projects. He also encouraged them to be partners with the Embassy in diplomacy to continue to promote the Philippines and ensure the welfare of Filipinos in Myanmar.

The Bazaar included booths from different Filipinos offering food, drinks, clothes, free medical check-up by the Filipino-Myanmar Spouses Association, and a free eye-check up by Academy Optical Clinic.

Events during the day included a dart tournament, the awarding of the winners of the Filipino Community Basketball Tournament (Season 9), presentation of Certificates of Appreciation to vendors and sponsors, oath-taking of Samahang Pinoy sa Construction (SAPICON) officers, and parlor games for children.
