PH Embassy in Dhaka Conducts Consular Mission in Maldives

PHOTO: The Philippine Embassy in Dhaka, headed by Ambassador to Bangladesh Vicente Vivencio T. Bandillo, offered passport renewals, passport validity extensions, and consultations to Filipinos during its mobile consular mission at the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Malé, Maldives on 08-09 March 2019.

A total of 116 passport renewals and nine consular documents were processed.

In celebration of the 2019 National Women’s Month, the Embassy team also distributed information, education and communication materials on the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995 and the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, as amended by the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012.

Ambassador Bandillo, who also holds concurrent jurisdiction over Maldives, also had a fruitful meeting with Filipino community leaders on 08 March 2019, and discussed with them the voting procedures for the 2019 National Elections, labor concerns, and the creation of Filipino organizations in Maldives.
