PH Exporters Participate in Mexico’s Premiere Food and Beverage Expo

MEXICO 13 March 2019 – As a means of introducing high quality Philippine products to Mexico and other Latin American countries, a Philippine trade delegation composed of leading food and beverage exporters participated for the first time in EXPO ANTAD and Alimentaria in Guadalaraja, Mexico on 05-07 March 2019.
The successful outbound business matching mission was organized by the Philippine Embassy in Mexico, through the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) in Mexico and the Export Marketing Bureau of the Department of Trade and Industry.
Participating Philippine food and beverage exporters included Business People Inc., Chat Noir Co. (Don Papa Rum), McCormick Philippines Inc., Monde M.Y. San Corporation, Cinco Corporation–Potato Corner, Nutribiz International Inc., Nattural Quality Corporation, Republic Biscuit Corporation (REBISCO), and Sees Intl Food Manufacturing Corporation.
As a parallel activity to the Expo ANTAD and Alimentaria, PTIC Mexico also organized a business matching and networking seminar for the 18-man trade delegation on 04 March 2019.
The Asociacion Nacional De Tiendas De Autoservicio Y Departamentales, A.C. (ANTAD or National Association of Supermarkets and Department Stores) represents 50 percent of total national retail sales in Mexico. All major supermarkets and department stores in the country are ANTAD members, and were represented in the recently concluded tradeshow.
With a population of approximately 130 million, Mexico has the biggest consumer potential among Latin American markets, with food and beverage consumption expected to rise by 15 percent in 2020. END
