PH Consulate General in Dubai Conducts Special Consular Day for Filipinos in Fujairah

DUBAI 13 March 2019 — The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai conducted a consular outreach for Filipinos in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 09 March 2019.   

The Consulate General’s attached agencies such as Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Social Security System (SSS), and Pag-IBIG also joined the mission to assist Filipinos in having their contracts verified and their Overseas Employment Certificates (OEC) issued. They also facilitated the membership of Filipinos in OWWA, SSS, and PAG-IBIG. 

The team rendered a total of 689 services during the consular mission, including 266 passport renewals and amendments, 68 notarizations of legal documents, two civil registrations, 60 contract verifications, 19 OEC issuances, 135 OWWA membership application, 52 Pag-IBIG services, and 87 SSS services.

Fujairah, the westernmost of the UAE’s seven Emirates, is home to around 10,000 Filipinos. The Consulate General conducts consular missions in the emirate every other month to assist Filipinos in the renewal of their passports and notarization of their legal documents, including special power of attorney and affidavits.
