03 February 2014 - The New Regional Division Coordinator for Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in North Sulawesi, Mr. Alif Suaidi, paid a courtesy call on Philippine Consul General in Manado Jose D.R. Burgos at the Consulate General on January 28.
The meeting was an opportunity to highlight the excellent relations and desire for further coordination between the Consulate and the North Sulawesi Immigration authorities.
The Consul General also took the opportunity to highlight the efforts of the Consulate General, particularly in providing consular services to Filipinos in its area of jurisdiction, including its coordination with local authorities, the private sector, the department of Foreign Affairs main office and its Regional Consular Offices in Davao, General Santos and Zamboanga cities, as well as its efforts in promoting trade and regional interconnectivity between the two regions of Southern Mindanao and North Sulawesi. The Consul General also informed of plans to hold the 32nd Chairmen’s Conference of the Philippines-Indonesia Border Crossing Committee from February 03 to 07 in Davao City. END
