PH Consulate General in Manado Enjoys Playtime with Students of Cambridge Child Development Centre

MANADO 18 March 2019 — With the Philippine Consulate General in Manado building decked in barrio fiesta decorations, Consul General to Manado Oscar G. Orcine welcomed 32 Indonesian pupils and seven teachers of the Cambridge Child Development Centre on 22 February 2019 as part of the school’s “Our Special World” program. 

Consul General Orcine hosted a program that included a brief tour of the Consulate General premises, an overview of Philippine geography, history, culture and values, a storytelling session about Philippine legends, and teaching of Philippine nursery rhymes which they sang in Bahasa Indonesia, Filipino and English.

The school children tasted Philippine flavors as they enjoyed pandesal, coco-pandesal, ensaymada, and chicken soup.

The program concluded with the traditional game pabitin, where the kids thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and the toys and candies they picked.

The teachers of the Cambridge Child Development Centre expressed their deep appreciation for the time generously shared with the kids. END
