PH Ambassador Presents Credential to Costa Rican President
MEXICO 18 March 2019 — Ambassador to Mexico Demetrio R. Tuason presented his credentials as non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Philippines to Costa Rican President Carlos Alvarado Quesada on 13 February 2019. He was one of the five Ambassadors who were recently accredited to Costa Rica.
During his brief meeting with President Quesada, Ambassador Tuazon extended the cordial greetings of President Rodrigo R. Duterte, as well as his commitment to further strengthen bilateral relations between the Philippines and Costa Rica.
In his meeting with Foreign Affairs and Worship Minister Manuel E. Ventura Robles during the presentation of open letters of credence on 12 February 2019, Ambassador Tuason highlighted the interest of the Philippines to hold a bilateral consultation meeting with Costa Rica to discuss areas of mutual interest, such as trade and investment.
Ambasador Tuason also met with the Costa Rican Ministers of Foreign Trade, and Economy, Industry and Commerce, and members of the Filipino commnunity in Costa Rica. END
