PH Embassy Nairobi Celebrates International Women’s Day Via Financial Empowerment Seminars

NAIROBI 22 March 2019 — The Philippines Embassy in Nairobi celebrated International Women’s Day with a financial education seminar for its officers and staff on 07 March 2019, followed by a financial education workshop for overseas Filipinos in Nairobi on 10 March 2019.

The financial education program of the Embassy highlights the significance of financial empowerment as a tool for empowering overseas Filipino women and their families.

The program was conducted by Property Officer and Attaché Hossana P. Dela Cruz, who adapted Philippine Permanent Mission in Geneva’s Entrepreneurial Workshop for Overseas Filipinos for Filipinos in Nairobi.

The Embassy hopes to conduct the financial education workshop for overseas Filipinos in all its jurisdictions, as the cornerstone for its Gender and Development program for 2019. END
