PH Ambassador Calls On New Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations President

PHOTO: Ambassador to Viet Nam Noel Servigon, accompanied by First Secretary and Consul-General Cynthia Pelayo and Defense Attache Colonel Arlino Sendaydiego, paid a courtesy call on new Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) President Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga, who was former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and former Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the United Nations in New York.

Ambassador Servigon briefed Ambassador Nga about the previous activities undertaken by the Embassy with VUFO and the Vietnam-Philippines Friendship Association during the last three years, which included the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 120th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine Independence, as well as the involvement of Filipino-Vietnamese families in friendship activities.

On-going and future projects were also discussed during the meeting. (Hanoi PE photos)
