PH Ambassador to Myanmar Meets Lao PDR Ambassador

PHOTO: Lao Ambassador to Myanmar Heuangseng Khamdalavong paid an introductory call on Ambassador to Myanmar Eduardo E. Kapunan Jr. on 15 March 2019 at the Philippine Embassy in Yangon.

The two Ambassadors discussed the close relationship of the members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Missions (ASEAN) in Myanmar.

Ambassador Kapunan shared that the ASEAN missions in Yangon always support and help each other. He also mentioned the various activities held by the ASEAN missions in the previous years and the plans to promote ASEAN in Myanmar in 2019.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Khamdalavong expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome of the ASEAN heads of mission, and shared that he will continue the ASEAN tradition of supporting one another as family.

Prior to his appointment to Myanmar, Ambassador Khamdalavong served as Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was also deployed to Bonn, Germany as Third Secretary and Jakarta, Indonesia as First Secretary, then later on promoted to Counsellor. (Yangon PE photo)
