BRASILIA 27 March 2019 – Philippine embassies in Latin America gathered together in Brazil to discuss ideas and projects of mutual interest at the Philippine Embassy in Brasilia on 15 March 2019.

Ambassador to Argentina Linglingay Lacanlale and Mr. Emmanuel Garcia from Philippine Embassy in Buenos Aires, Charge d’Affaires to Chile Marcos A.S. Punsalang, and Consul Maria Carmela Theresa Cabreira, and Commercial Counsellor Vichael Angelo Roaring from Philippine Embassy in Mexico descended on the Brazilian capital to join the Embassy to convene the first ever Sub-Regional Consultation Meeting for Latin America.

The aim of the consultation meeting is to come up with a consolidated regional program that maximizes the potential that this region offers the Philippines.

With Philippine embassies in Latin America being some of the farthest ones from Manila, pursuing projects, especially those that promote culture and economic interests, is very costly.

By coming together, the Philippine embassies in Latin America hopes to yield a more cost-effective way to promote the Philippines. By devising a comprehensive regional program, the Philippine embassies will be able to maximize their resources while achieving their promotional goals. END
