Non-Resident PH Ambassador Calls On Sri Lanka Foreign Ministry Officials

COLOMBO 01 April 2019 — Ambassador to Bangladesh and non-resident Ambassador to Sri Lanka H.E. Vicente Vivencio T. Bandillo called on new Sri Lankan Foreign Ministry Director General for East Asia and Pacific Damanayanthi Rajapakse on 19 March 2019, as follow-up call on the recent visit of Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena to the Philippines last January 2019.

Commonalities between the Philippine and Sri Lanka were identified as areas in need of cooperation between the two countries. Bilateral agreements on the side of Sri Lanka were also followed-up.

To strengthen cooperation between the Philippine and Sri Lanka in the international arena, Ambassador Bandillo also called on Director General Mashini Colone of the Sri Lankan Foreign Ministry’s UN and Human Rights, North America Wing. 

Philippine Honorary Consul Hugh Sriyal Dissanayake and Attaché Joany G. Margallo-Lucas accompanied Ambassador Bandillo in the calls. END
