PH Consulate General in Manado Holds Talk on Violence vs Women, Children

MANADO 01 APRIL 2019 – In line with the celebration of 2019 National Women’s Month, the Philippine Consulate General in Manado held a lecture-forum on violence against women and children (VAWC) at Ibis Manado City Center Boulevard on 16 March 2019.

Resource speakers from the Office of Empowerment and Protection for Women and Children, Manado Independent School (MIS), and MJR Law Office discussed the different forms of violation and discriminations experienced by women and children, the punishments and penalties impose on the perpetrators of VAWC, and the protection provided by the Indonesian government and non-government organizations against gender-based violence.
