PH Ambassador to the Netherlands Assumes Chairship of ASEAN Committee

THE HAGUE 08 April 2019 — Ambassador to the Netherlands Jaime Victor B. Ledda assumes the chairship of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Committee in The Hague (ACTH)  on 02 April 2019. 

In accepting the honor of leading the five ACTH member-states, Ambassador Ledda pledged to work hard in promoting ASEAN solidarity and ASEAN as a Community of Opportunities. He succeeded Thai Ambassador Eksiri Pintaruchi who led the ACTH from November 2018 to April 2019.

The ACTH has been in the forefront of noteworthy activities and advocacies in the Netherlands in the areas of diplomatic and political relations,  promotion of ASEAN trade and investment and of ASEAN socio-cultural events that highlight’s ASEAN’s immense cultural heritage and diversity. The ACTH comprises Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam. END
