PH Ambassador Reports to Filipino Community in The Netherlands

THE HAGUE 08 April 2019 — The Philippine Embassy in the Hague led by Ambassador to the Netherlands Jaime Victor B. Ledda held the first semi-annual meeting on 29 March 2019 with leaders and representatives from 28 Filipino associations,  organizations and professionals in the Hague and cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Hoofddorp, Lelystad, Tilburg, Doetinchem, Maastricht, Gouda and Leeuwarden.

Ambassador Ledda highlighted the forthcoming overseas voting to be conducted by the Embassy from 13 April to 13 May 2019. He enjoined the members of the community to exercise their right to suffrage and cast their votes during the election period.

Ambassador Ledda also informed  Filipino community leaders and representatives on upcoming Embassy projects and activities in its cultural and economic diplomacy agenda for the first half of 2019, including another outreach in its consular jurisdictions in the Dutch Caribbean this June.

The Ambassador also informed them of the observance of  Philippine and Dutch holidays for 2019, as well as the available social media platforms where the Embassy may be followed for real-time advisories, announcements and networking

The meeting was also an opportunity for Filipino community leaders and representatives to inform one another of their respective 2019 programs and events. END
