20 February 2014 - Ms. Urszula Dudziak, composer of the international hit song “Papaya” visited the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw and met with Ambassador Patricia Ann V. Paez last February 11.
The world-renowned Polish composer/singer gave Ambassador Paez a copy of her newly-released biography entitled “Urszula Dudziak: Wyspiewam Wam Wszystko” and a copies of her latest CDs.
Ms. Dudziak informed Ambassador Paez that the “Papaya” was used in a Filipino movie “Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo” featuring actors Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo and which grossed Php 17 million on its opening day during the 33rd Metro Manila Film Festival.
They discussed the possibility of the translation into English and publication of the English version of Ms. Dudziak’s biography in the Philippines.
The song “Papaya” inspired TV host and actor Edu Manzano to create the “Papaya” dance which went viral on YouTube. END
