20 February 2014- Consul General Maria Hellen Barber De La Vega makes a farewell call on Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti at his office on February 14.

Consul General De La Vega recalled the consistent and endearing concern of Mayor Garcetti to the Filipino and Filipino-American communities in the City of Los Angeles since 2002, when he was then a Councilmember and spearheaded the resolution creating Historic Filipinotown in District 13. 

The two officials discussed intensifying areas of cooperation in cultural exchange between sister-cities of Los Angeles and Makati and enhance trade ties between Los Angeles and the Philippines. END
