PH Consulate General in Dubai Conducts Final Testing, Sealing of Vote Counting Machines

DUBAI 17 April 2018 — The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai the Final Testing and Sealing (FTS) of Vote Counting Machines (VCM) on 06 April 2019 at the Consulate General.
The said activity which is required by the Commission on Elections Resolution No. 10490 Section 38 and 39, the FTS is open to the public. The event was attended by representatives from the Filipino community and the local media. The Consulate General’s 11 precincts conducted the actual testing which included installation, diagnostics and a simulation of voting.
The event also included oath taking ceremony of the members of the Special Ballot Reception and Custody Group (SBRCG), Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEI), VCM Technical Support Personnel and Support Staff.
A press briefing was held after the FTS where key concerns relating to the conduct of overseas voting in Dubai were discussed. END
