21 February 2014 - Chilean Red Cross officials paid a call on the Philippine Ambassador to Chile Maria Consuelo Puyat-Reyes on February 07 to report on donations collected after a call to the Chileans was made to come to the aid of the people of ravaged by typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).
Headed by Lorenza Donoso Oyarce, Chilean Red Cross National President, the officials symbolically handed over a check in the amount of US$30,900 representing the amount raised through the country-wide campaign to help those hit by the disaster.
Ambassador Puyat-Reyes received the guests and thanked the generosity of Chileans who donated both large and small amounts for the typhoon victims.
The Chilean Red Cross collection will be coursed through the Philippine Red Cross. END
