PH Embassy in Manama, Bahrain Specialist Hospital Conduct Program for World Health Day

Manama World Health Day 1

PHOTO: In observance of World Health Day 2019, the Philippine Embassy in Manama, in coordination with the Bahrain Specialist Hospital (BSH) conducted a special health awareness program at the Embassy lobby on 07 April 2019.

BSH medical staff provided free blood pressure checking and blood sugar testing to the Embassy’s personnel as well as to applicants and visitors of the Embassy. The project is part of the Embassy’s program to increase the awareness of Filipinos in Bahrain to take care of and invest in their health and overall wellness, bearing in mind that working outside the country can cause stress related illnesses.

The Embassy also emphasizes that overseas Filipinos need to prioritize taking care of their own health, not only to enable them to continue providing for their families back home but also for them to enjoy the fruits of their hard work upon their return to their families in the Philippines.
