PH Embassy in Jakarta, Attached Agencies Conducts Outreach to OFWs

JAKARTA 25 April 2019 — In collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment-Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Singapore (DOLE-POLO), Overseas Welfare (OWWA) and Pag-Ibig Fund, and PhilHealth, the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta conducted a Briefing and Services Outreach for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Jakarta and, nearby areas on 13 April 2019.

The Philippine government team was able to serve around 80 OFWs who participated in the event.

The resource persons and service providers included POLO-Singapore Assistant Labor Attaché Macy Monique Maglanque, POLO-Singapore representative Alvin Carpio, POLO-Singapore Welfare Officer Aniceta Cataran, Pag-IBIG Fund representative Christian Oliveros, Philhealth Vice-President for Member Management Group Dr. Francisco Soria, and PhilHealth representative Renato S. Bristol.

During the briefing, resource persons from DOLE-POLO, OWWA, Pag-Ibig Fund, and PhilHealth presented and discussed the relevant regulations, and current programs of their respective agencies for OFWs. An open forum was held after the presemtation.

After the briefing, the representatives from said attached agencies provided various services to the OFWs, including processing of Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC), OWWA membership enrollment and renewal, PhilHealth membership record and document filing, and Pag-Ibig membership registration and verification.
