LOS ANGELES 26 April 2019 — To assure the public of the integrity of the 2019 Senatorial and Party List Elections, the Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEIs) of the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles conducted its Final Testing and Sealing (FTS) of the Vote Counting Machines (VCMs) at the Consulate General’s Sentro Rizal Hall on 10 April 2019.

All the VCMs assigned to the Consulate General were found to be in good condition during the diagnostic testing. The machines also accurately read the votes of the 10 sample ballots when SBEIs manually counterchecked the generated Election Returns (ERs) and Statistical Reports.

After the testing, SBEIs re-zeroed all the SD cards ensuring that no votes are stored in them.

The conduct of the FTS is a standard procedure to be done by all deputized SBEIs at their respective polling centers in compliance with Section 38 of COMELEC Resolution 10490.

VCMs at the Consulate General’s polling center will be open for the feeding of ballots every Monday and Thursday starting 15 April 2019 until 15 May 2019. END
