Six Filipino Designers Featured in Bangkok’s Fashion Week Runway Asia
PHOTO: Philippine Embassy in Bangkok officers and staff attended the opening ceremony of the “Fashion Week Runway Asia”, a charitable fashion show organized by Filipino entrepreneur Rachel Hizon, on 05 April 2019 at the Parrish Jones-Look Lounge fashion store along Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok.
According to Ms. Hizon, part of the proceeds from sales would be for the benefit of Saraburi House, a home for impoverished girls in the Saraburi Province of Thailand. The fashion show was held also at the Private Home Gallery in Yannawa, Bangkok on 06 to 07 April, where most of the Filipino community attended.
The fashion event showcased six Filipino designers from Manila, namely Len Nepomuceno Mortel, Jor-el Espina, Adante Leyesa, Dodjie Batu, Randolph Keith Petalcorin and Dong Omaga Diaz. Ms. Hizon was proud to present that the same group of designers won the “Best Showcase Award” at the Malaysia /Mercedes Benz Asia Fashion Week held in Kuala Lumpur in November last year.
