PH Embassy in Moscow Conducts Consular Outreach, Mobile Voting in Kazakhstan
MOSCOW 02 May 2019 — The Philippine Embassy in Moscow dispatched a team to Kazakhstan to conduct a consular outreach and mobile voting at Kazzhol Hotel in Nur-Sultan on 20 April 2019 and Kazzhol Hotel in Almaty on 21 April 2019.
The Embassy team was composed of Third Secretary and Vice Consul Mary Grace Perpetua, Eden Salting, and Ceferino Caldez.
The outreach aims to bring much-needed consular services to Filipinos located in the Embassy’s jurisdictions outside Russia. Since the outreach also falls during the 2019 Senatorial and Party List Elections period, the Embassy team hand-carried ballots to Kazakhstan, which were then claimed by Filipinos who are registered voters.
Sixty-two Filipinos came to the outreach to avail of the Embassy’s services. The Embassy team registered 34 Filipinos, renewed nine passports, authenticated seven documents and contracts, rendered three notarials, processed two NBI applications and served 10 clients for assistance-to-nationals consultations.
Filipinos in Nur-Sultan and Almaty thanked the Embassy for conducting the outreach and eagerly awaits the next consular mission to Kazakhstan. END
