27 February 2014 – The Philippine Embassy in Athens conducted a consular outreach in Corfu on February 22.

The consular team provided a total of fifty (50) services. POLO-OWWA Athens likewise provided its services to the Filipinos in Corfu.

A town hall meeting was held in the evening for the Filipino Community members, where Philippine Ambassador to Greece Meynardo LB. Montealegre inducted the officers of the Unity Group of Corfu Organization. An open forum was also held during the town hall meeting where Ambassador Montealegre heard the concerns of the Filipinos working and living in Corfu.

Corfu is a Greek island in the Ionian Sea. Corfu’s Old Town in Kerkyra is part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. END
