PH Embassy in Chile Welcomes New Ambassador

PHOTO:  Ambassador to Chile Ma. Teresita C. Daza arrived in Santiago, Chile, on 26 April 2019 to assume her duties as the Philippines’ top envoy to Chile. She was accompanied by her spouse, Mr. David Jose John Jr. Daza.

Ambassador Daza most recently served as the Philippine Ambassador to India, with concurrent jurisdiction over Nepal, from July 2015 to April 2019.  She also served as Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. and Deputy Permanent Representative at the Permanent Mission of the Philippines to ASEAN in Jakarta from the period of 2009 to 2013.  Her other foreign postings include Romania and Malaysia.

At the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Daza was assigned in various offices such as the Office of ASEAN Affairs, Office of Protocol and the Office of the Secretary-Economic Diplomacy Unit.

As Philippine Ambassador to Chile, Ambassador Daza will also have concurrent jurisdiction over the Republic of Ecuador and the Republic of Chile as non-resident Ambassador.
