The Philippine Embassy in Brunei opened the Overseas Absentee Voting (OAV) for the 2019 National Elections at the Embassy Chancery on 13 April 2019.

Jaime T. Benedicto (left), a Filipino overseas voter in Brunei, cast the first ballot, “Hindi ako nakaboto noong nakaraang Presidential Elections. Gusto ko ngayon makaboto para maranasan ko din ang pagboto kahit wala ako sa Pilipinas. (I was not able to vote in the last Presidential Elections. Now I want to vote to experience it even if I am not in the Philippines.)” he said.

The Embassy will be open for overseas voting from 13 April 2019 to 13 May 2019, including weekends and holidays, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Brunei PE photo)
