03 March 2014 - The Philippine Embassy in Doha, Qatar, in coordination with FFL Migrant Workers, a Filipino community organization registered with the Embassy, conducted a post-arrival orientation seminar (PAOS) in QIT Camp in Al Khor on February 28.

Around 60 overseas Filipino workers, mostly construction workers, attended the seminar.

Vice Consul Melvin C. Almonguera and Welfare Officer Amy Empaynado led the Embassy’s PAOS team, which discussed, among others, the Embassy’s assistance-to-nationals and consular services, Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) and Overseas Workers’ Welfare Administration (OWWA) services, and SSS and Pag-IBIG procedures and benefits. 

The Embassy is conducting a PAOS regularly to inform the Filipino community of their rights, the Embassy’s services, and relevant procedures in Qatar. END
