03 March 2014 - The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok conducted a Consular Outreach for Filipinos in Chiang Mai province and nearby areas on February 22. The Embassy organized the outreach with the assistance of the Association of Filipinos in Thailand – Northern Region Chapter (AFT-NRC) headed by Ms. Mildred Morelos.

During the outreach, the Embassy Team processed applications for ePassports, reports of civil registry records, authenticated documents, and issued consular ID's cards. Philippine Ambassador to Thailand Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia and Consul General Edgar Badajos held a community dialogue during which they addressed consular-related concerns. Mr. Badajos also conducted a seminar on Disaster Preparedness, and the Philippine Government’s Contingency Management Plan and the Embassy’s Contingency Plan. END
