PH Embassy in Vientiane Provides Consular, Field Voting Services in Southern Laos

PHOTO: The Philippine Embassy in Vientiane conducted a consular and field voting mission in Pakse, Champassak province on 02-05 May 2019 to extend consular services and conduct overseas absentee voting (OAV) to Filipinos living in the southern provinces of Champassak, Savannakhet, and other surrounding provinces.

Third Secretary and Vice Consul and Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEI) Chairperson Iris Vanessa Caranzo, Finance Officer and SBEI Poll Clerk Vallena, and Consular Assistant, Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN) Officer and SBEI Member Rhanjyn Camongol comprised the consular and field voting team.

The consular and field voting team provided consular services, namely passport renewal and Embassy registration, and also conducted a short meeting to remind them of the Embassy’s consular and ATN services. Filipinos living in southern Laos are mostly casino workers in Savannakhet province, teachers in international schools, engineers and construction workers.
