WARSAW 10 May 2019 — The Philippine Embassy in Warsaw hosted a study visit for students from various universities as part of the eighth edition of Akcja Dyplomacja (Action Diplomacy), a project organized by the Foreign Affairs Club of the Warsaw School of Economics that seeks to further the knowledge of students on diplomacy and international relations.

Chargé d’ Affaires, a.i. Mardomel Celo D. Melicor welcomed a group of ten students to the Chancery on 16 April 2019, and led Embassy personnel through a two-hour presentation and discussion on Philippine history, culture, tourism, political issues, and economic data.

The guests were also introduced to a sampling of Philippine cuisine, which generated much interest and appreciation from the students as there are currently no Filipino restaurants in Warsaw.

Akcja Dyplomacja provides students with the opportunity to visit and interact with over 70 embassies based in Warsaw, and gain valuable insights into the diplomatic profession.

This year’s program was carried out from March to April, concluding with a ceremony and reception on the evening of 16 April 2019 at the Royal Castle in the Old Town of Warsaw. END
