A Taste of Home, A Taste of PINAS: Launching of Filipino Restaurant in Norway

PHOTO: Filipino restaurant PINAS promises Filipinos a taste of home, and Norwegians a glimpse of the Philippines. PINAS, a colloquial abbreviation of Pilipinas, is located at upscale neighborhood Bygdøy allé 19A, 0262 Oslo.

Ambassador to Norway Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia attended the opening of PINAS on 02 April 2019 and expressed support to co-owners John Noceda, Gina Quiring, April Ann Emphasis, Marco Camas and Chef Elijah James Bernardo.

The Filipino entrepreneurs behind PINAS hope that Filipinos, Norwegians, and other expats in Norway, would not only have a taste of Filipino food, but also experience Filipino hospitality when they dine at PINAS. Filipino culture is also emphasized in PINAS with its décor and “Filipino word for the day” board which introduces guests to the Filipino language. (Oslo PE photo)
