PH Consulate General in Los Angeles Leads in Welcoming New Patrons of the ASEAN Women Circle

ARCADIA 15 May 2019 –  The ASEAN Women Circle of Los Angeles (AWCLA), led by its current Chair Madame Catherine Amon Cruz, wife of Philippine Consul General to Los Angeles Adelio Angelito S. Cruz, hosted a gathering to officially welcome its new patrons at the official residence of Consul General to Malaysia Devrin Jeck on 01 May 2019.

Mme. Cruz extended her warm welcome to the new patrons and assured them of the same bond of unity and friendship that AWCLA have shared with their respective predecessors.  She pledged to further fortify this bond and at the same time, promote ASEAN awareness in Southern California by organizing activities that will not only benefit the association but will also help underprivileged members of the society.

For their part, the three new patrons, namely, Mme. Dyah Krisnawan, wife of Consul General Saud Purwanto Krisnawan of Indonesia, Mme. Thinn Thinn Lei, wife of Consul General Aung Kyaw Zan of Myanmar and Mme. Kamolpatr Pratoomkaew, wife of Consul General Dragon Prathumkaew of Thailand, expressed their commitment to support AWCLA’s meaningful programs.

AWCLA is a socio-cultural association of women comprised of the spouses of the heads of mission, female members of the ASEAN consular corps and ASEAN community in Los Angeles.  It was established in April 2012 to promote awareness about ASEAN as an organization and showcase the rich diversity of history, culture, religion, food, language, and tradition found in the Southeast Asian region.
