PH Consul General Joins PH Medical Assoc Musical Event
PHOTO: Consul General to Chicago Gina A. Jamoralin graced the Philippine Medical Association (PMAC) Auxiliary InterUniversity Musical Extravaganza held at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois on 04 May 2019.
Consul General Jamoralin delivered an inspirational message encouraging the Filipino-American community leaders to support the upcoming 2nd Youth Leaders in Diaspora (YouLeaD) Immersion Program, a joint project with the Commission on Filipinos Overseas that helps young Filipino-American leaders discover their roots and embrace their heritage as part of their unique identity. She also encouraged all Filipinos and dual citizens who are registered Philippine overseas voters to go out and vote.
The highlight of the event was the inter-university musical extravaganza, where the Filipino-American doctors and other participants showcased their different talents.
The University of Santo Tomas Medical Alumni Association-Midwest with friends and family presented “Fuga e Contrata Punto era Espanola”, while the University of the Philippines Medical Alumni Association performed “The 70’s-80’s from Martial Law to Bayan Ko”. The University of the East Medical Alumni Association presented “The 80’s to the Present,” and the Far Eastern University Medical Alumni Association performed “Pre & Post Marcos Era”.
