PH Embassy in Brunei First to Transmit Election Returns to COMELEC
PHOTO: The Philippine Embassy in Brunei was the first Philippine Embassy to successfully transmit 100 percent of its Election Returns to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) during the early hours of 14 May 2019.
The Embassy closed the polls for the Overseas Absentee Voting (OAV) for the 2019 Senatorial and Party List Elections on 13 May 2019 at exactly 6:00 p.m., (Philippine and Brunei time). Fifty year old and long time Brunei resident Marilyn Ramos Rementillacast the last vote.
The Embassy reported that 4,034 overseas Filipinos exercised their right to vote out of the 14,000 that were registered in Brunei for this elections.
