PH Consulate General in San Francsico Joins in 12th “Our Family, Our Future” Resource Fair

SAN FRANCISCO 24 May 2019 -- The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, in partnership with The Filipino American Alliance for Community Empowerment (ALLICE), participated in the 12th Annual “Our Family, Our Future” Resource Fair, which focuses on elder care and abuse prevention at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in South San Francisco, California on 18 May 2019.

Consul General to San Francisco Henry S. Bensurto, Jr. explained the importance of strengthening family relationships, especially with respect to the elders in the Filipino-American community and conveyed the Consulate’s commitment in promoting respect for the elderly through its programs and activities.

Consul General Bensurto also expressed the Consulate General’s desire to continue to participate in the annual event organized by ALLICE, which it deems as a valuable and effective forum in creating awareness on social issues affecting our elderly population in the United States.

Organized by ALLICE, the annual event was participated in by about 20 community-based family resource providers, including government agencies and non-governmental organizations, providing various services to the community in the San Mateo County and other areas. END
