PH Consulate General in Jeddah Assumes Coordinatorship of the Asian Consuls General Club

JEDDAH 27 May 2019 – The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah officially took over the 2019 coordinatorship of the Asian Consuls General Club (ACGC) after the formal turn-over of all ACGC documents to the Philippines by outgoing ACGC coordinator Republic of Korea (ROK).
Vice-Consul Alfred Kristoffer A. Guiang represented the Consulate General at the turn-over ceremony held at the Consulate General of the ROK in Jeddah. ROK Consul Kyung-Jin Yoo and Vice-Consul Dae Gun Kim handed over the ACGC documents to the Consulate General.
Consul General to Jeddah Edgar B. Badajos said that as ACGC Coordinator, the Consulate General aims to revitalize the Asian Film Festival and the Asian Food Festival—two of ACGC’s mainstay activities.
“These activities will serve as a venue for cultural exchanges between Asian countries and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and help enhance mutual respect and understanding of each culture’s uniqueness and diversity,” Consul General Badajos said.
The ACGC is composed of 13 Asian countries, namely Bangladesh, Brunei, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, ROK, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. END
