PHNOM PENH 04 June 2019 — Thirteen travel agents and tour operators from Cambodia are discovering why “it’s more fun in the Philippines” as they joined a five-day familiarization trip to the Philippines.
The familiarization trip was organized by the Philippine Department of Tourism, with the support of PAL. The familiarization trip will bring the participants to Manila, Cebu, and Bohol.
They left for Manila on 28 May 2019 onboard Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight PR 0522. Philippine Embassy in Phnom Penh Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Myca Magnolia M. Fischer bid farewell to the participants at the Pochentong International Airport in Phnom Penh, assuring them that “It’s More Fun in the Philippines.”
The participating Cambodian tour operators, most of whom are visiting the Philippines for the first time, are expected to discover the vibrant beauty of cosmopolitan Manila, explore the historical city of Cebu, go island-hopping in Mactan, and go on a countryside tour of Bohol. Most importantly, the Cambodian participants will experience the world-class hospitality of Filipinos.
The familiarization trip includes a business-to-business meeting with Philippine tour operators, which aims to result in affordable and enjoyable tour packages to the Philippines for Cambodians and expats in Cambodia. END
