Filipino Association in Xiamen Organizes 21st Sports Barkadahan 2019

XIAMEN 06 June 2019 — The Filipino Association in Xiamen (FAX) organized its 21st Sports Barkadahan 2019 event dubbed as “Fun Team Bonding Pinoy Sportfest” on 19 May 2019 held at the Manila Xiamen International School (MXIS) Gymnasium in Xiamen City.
In his opening remarks, Consul General to Xiamen Julius Caesar A. Flores lauded FAX officers and members for its efforts to help unify Filipinos in Xiamen and Fujian as well as encouraged the participants to fraternize, demonstrate competitiveness and sportsmanship.
The event successfully brought together 200 Filipinos for a day of fun, friendship and camaraderie while engaging in various sports events such as badminton, basketball and volleyball as well as fun activities such as team relay and tug of war. The Red Team emerged the Champion followed by Teams Yellow, Blue and Green.
As valuable partners in its cultural and economic thrusts, the Consulate General in Xiamen is always supportive of FAX’s and MXIS’s programs to forge friendship, unity and camaraderie as well as its efforts in contributing to help uplift the lives of Filipinos in Fujian. END
