PH Consulate in Honolulu Holds Reception for Filipino Food Week

HONOLULU 17 June 2019 — The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu held an Opening Reception and Media Launch for the Filipino Food Week (FFW) on 05 June 2019 at the Cupola Gallery of the Honolulu Design Center.

Members of the press, Consular Corps, representatives of corporate partners, government and business contacts, and leaders of the Filipino community attended the gathering.

The FFW is a week-long celebration of Filipino cuisine which happened on June 09-15. Diners can go to participating restaurants in Oahu and Maui to try the Filipino food specials that are offered by different establishments.

Fifteen restaurants in Oahu and five in Maui participated in the Filipino Food Week this year. In Oahu, the following restaurants will have at least one Filipino food offering for FFW using coconut as an ingredient: Cafe Julia at YWCA, Chef Chai, Dana's Restaurant & Catering, Eating House, Elena's Home of Finest Filipino Foods, 1849 by Roy Yamaguchi, Haleiwa Beach House, Mariposa at Neiman Marcus Ala Moana, Max's Restaurant, Merriman’s Honolulu, Restaurant XO, Stage Restaurant, Tiano's Restaurants, Tiki's Grill & Bar, Won Kee Restaurant, and UBAE. For Maui, the following restaurants will be participating: Joey's Kitchen, Lineag , Star Noodle, Tante's Island Cuisine, and Tin Roof. END
