Top PH Defense Company Joins Defense Expo in Israel

TEL AVIV 19 June 2019 — The largest Filipino defense company, Armscor Global Defense, Inc. (Armscor), participated in the 10th edition of the Israel Defense, Homeland Security, and Cyber Expo (ISDEF), held at the Tel Aviv International Convention Center on 04-06 June 2019.
Ambassador to Israel Neal Imperial and Armscor President and Chief Executive Officer Martin Tuason, the company’s, officially opened Armscor’s booth with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on 04 June 2019.
They were joined by the Embassy’s First Secretary Reichel Quiñones, Defense and Armed Forces Attaché Colonel Raul Villanueva, and other members of the Armscor delegation. At the exhibition, Armscor showcased their products, which consisted of a variety of handguns and ammunition.
During their meeting, Mr. Tuason informed Ambassador Imperial that the company’s firearms are 80 percent Philippine-made in their factory in Marikina and that the company is now the largest manufacturer of 1911 handguns in the world.
In response, Ambassador Imperial shared that for years the Embassy had been pushing for the participation of Philippine defense companies in the ISDEF, to support the Philippine government’s initiatives to promote the growth and development of the country’s defense and arms industry.
“I congratulate Armscor’s smart decision to position itself in one of the most dynamic defense markets in the world”, noted the Ambassador.
Since 2007, ISDEF has served as a venue for defense and security companies from all over the world to showcase their latest products and solutions in international defense, homeland security (HLS), and cyber security.
One of the objectives of Armscor’s participation in the ISDEF is to open a local distributorship of its best-selling pistols in Israel and to forge synergies with Israeli companies. END
