HONOLULU 20 June 2019 — The Philippine delegation to the Pacific Amphibious Leaders Symposium (PALS) 2019 called on Consul General to Hawaii Joselito A. Jimeno on 03 June 2019.

The delegation was led by Philippine Marine Corps 1st Marine Brigade Commander Brigadier General (BGen) Eugenio  V. Hernandez. Accompanying BGen. Hernandez are: Sealift Amphibious Force of Philippine Navy Commander Captain Ernesto O. Baldovino, Philippine Marines’ Colonel Pedrito C. Dulanas, and Philippine Navy Fleet Inspector General Captain Junjie B. Tabuada.

Held on 03-06 June 2019, the PALS is hosted by the commander of United States Marine Corps Forces, Pacific. This symposium brings together senior leaders of allied and partner marine corps, naval infantries, and militaries across the Indo-Pacific region with an interest in amphibious operations. It aims is to have a dialogue on key aspects of maritime/amphibious operations, capability development, crisis response and interoperability.

More than 20 allied and partner militaries are scheduled to participate. PALS improve cohesion, training, and interoperability across the Indo-Pacific region. END
