13 March 2014- Philippine Ambassador to South Africa Constancio R. Vingno, Jr. attended the State of the Nation Address by His Excellency Jacob G. Zuma, President of the Republic of South Africa on the occasion of the Joint Sitting of Parliament last February 13, held at  Cape Town, South Africa.

During his visit to Cape Town, Ambassador Vingno  met  Philippine Swimming League  delegation head former Senator Nikki Coseteng  who was in Cape Town for the 2014 Western Province Aquatics (WPA) Swimming Gala.  The Philippine Swimming League swimmers won 18 gold, 11 silver  and 6 bronze  medals.  Ambassador Vingno congratulated the team for winning a total of 35 medals.

The Ambassador  also met with   members of the Filipino community in Cape Town who were serviced by a mobile passport team of the Embassy.  END
